Nepali politicians have failed again with a score of 2 out of 5!

After the Maoist led Government stepped down in mid-2009, we've had two Prime Ministers, 17 rounds of failed elections (for the PM post) and two extensions to the deadline for formation of the new Constitution of Nepal. Yet, not much has been achieved in Naya Nepal.

On 30 May 2011, the three major political parties reached an eleventh hour agreement by which the term of the Constituent Assembly was extended by another 3 months. Of the 5 points in the agreement, the fourth point was fulfilled on the night the agreement was reached - the Constituent Assembly was extended by three months. Another point has been fulfilled last night with the resignation of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal.
But no agreements have been reached on the remaining three issues which were probably the more challenging, difficult and important tasks. What does this mean for Nepali politics - the 3 month extension has been a waste and with a score of 2 out of 5, Nepali politicians have failed AGAIN!
