Gyanendra's take on the current political situation in Nepal

Former King Gyanendra Shah has said that he is dissatisfied with the minimal progress in forming a peaceful and prosperous Nepal after he sacrificed the throne for the sake of the country and its people. Organising a press conference on the occasion of his 65th birthday at his residence at Nirmal Niwas in Maharajgunj Gyanendra said that the delay does not necessarily mean denial and therefore all Nepalis should be optimistic about the future. On the occasion he said that he always wants to see the nation on the path of national unity and prosperity, while ensuring permanent peace and safeguarding multiparty democracy.
