Did Baba Ramdev swindle the Nepal Government?

This report in India Today claims that Baba Ramdev's trust got Nepal land at cheap rate and then sold it off at market price. Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Yogpeeth had acquired more than 800 ropani (over 100 acre) land at discounted rates in 2007 following a nod from the Nepal government. However, it was later sold at market price which was as much as 10 times its original value. Apparently Kathmandu Homes has purchased most of the land to build a commercial complex. The residents of Sanga, a village around 20 km from Kathmandu where this happened, are infuriated as many of them had sold their land to Patanjali on promises that it would be used for yoga centres.

The officers of land registry office of Nepal have confirmed the villagers' allegations. The land purchased by Patanjali was much more than the sanctioned limit one can purchase in Nepal. Clearly, rules were bent by the Nepal government to suit requirements of the Patanjali and now if this report is true, it seems Baba Ramdev has swindled the Nepal Government. If these allegations are true, then the followers of Baba Ramdev are in for a big shock. The income tax department is probing Ramdev's vast assets in India, and if this report is anything to go by, it seems that troubles for him and his key aide Balkrishna are mounting in Nepal as well.
