(Do Not) Visit Nepal 2011

At a time when Nepal is celebrating Visit Nepal 2011 with a target of attracting 1 million visitors in 2011, Maoists have forced 120 guests to be moved out of their hotel to other hotels in Pokhara. As many as 120 guests staying at the Fishtail Lodge in Pokhara had to be shifted to other hotels in town after Maoist-aligned All Nepal Hotel and Restaurant Labour Union brought all the services there to a grinding halt, protesting the sacking of an employee Nanda Prasad Sharma 11 days ago and seeking his reinstatement. Sharma was serving as security in-charge in the hotel. Fifty-six of the 60 rooms of the hotel were booked but now the hotel is shut. This is an unfortunate incident which sends a negative message of "DO NOT VIST NEPAL 2011" to the rest of the world. Shame on you Maoists!
