For 10 years gun-toting Maoists prowled Nepal's remote Himalayan trails dodging attacks from army helicopters. Now international tourists are following their trails armed with their cameras, entering into former no-go zones where they are warmly greeted by visitors who offer to show them around. The trek is called the Guerrilla Trek and is a 11-day hike across Central and Western Nepal. This trek is being promoted as part of the Nepal Tourism Year 2011.
