What is Nepal doing to promote NTY 2011 in Australia?

Nepal is celebrating Visit Nepal 2011 with the aim of attracting 1 million tourists to Nepal in 2011. Nepal Tourism Year 2011 was officially inaugurated on January 14th by the President Ram Baran Yadav at Dasarath Rangshala.

However, in Australia we are yet to see a single advertisement in the printed media, online media or on television. A quick look at the Nepal Embassy website shows that the Embassy has not displayed any information about NTY 2011 on its own website. Even the Nepal Consulate in Melbourne website has no display of banners or slogans about NTY 2011.

This is a sad situation where the representatives of the Nepal Government are showing no interest in promoting NTY 2011! We see a lot of discussions about NTY 2011 in social networks such as FB and individuals promoting NTY 2011 through their blogs or personal websites. However, it is disappointing that the appropriate people seem to be doing nothing to promote NTY 2011. There isn't a single advertisement of NTY 2011 in the leading newspapers like Age, Herald Sun or The Australian. In fact there is no advertisement even in the MX. What a shame?
