Bhutanese Community in Melbourne donates to the Premier's Appeal Fund

Australia has pledged to resettle upto 5000 Lhotsampa (Bhutanese of Nepali origin) refugees languishing in the refugee camps in Nepal. At present there are more than 1000 Bhutanese refugees who have been resettled in Australia. In Victoria, the Bhutanese Community numbers around 300. This small community has come together to contribute AUD $2006 to the Premier's Appeal Fund for the flood victims in Queensland. Good on them for showing that they care for their new country!
