Plane with 22 persons on board goes missing in Nepal

A Twin Otter plane of Tara Air flying to Kathmandu from Lamidanda, in Khotang district, has gone missing with 22 persons on board. The plane is said to have lost contact 5 minutes after it took off from Lamidanda Airport. Ironically, the co-pilot of the plane Sachindra Shrestha was in a relationship with co-pilot Sofiya Singh of the ill-fated Dornier of Agni Air that crashed while returning from Lukla to Kathmandu on August 14th, 2010 with all 14 passengers on board dying. They were planning to get married this year but fate had other plans!

Update: the missing plane has been found crashed at Gauriban of Okhaldhunga District. All 22 persons are feared to be dead.
