Electric buses and 56 hours load shedding - where else but Nepal!

I was browsing through the Nepali Times' latest edition when I came across an article titled Electric buses wait for permits. Nepal has recently obtained electric buses from China for testing purposes and I had previously blogged about this. This article in the Nepali Times states that five months have passed since the buses were introduced in Nepal, but they are yet to be used for transportation because of the long and tiresome procedure to obtain route permits.

Having read an article earlier in EKantipur, titled Power outage upto 56 hours per week which states that Nepal Electricity Authority has decided to increase the power outage from 38 hours a week to 56 hours a week, I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of the situation. This situation is so symbolic of the current political situation in Nepal. When considered in isolation all party policies seem to have good intentions for Nepal. However, none of these ideas seem to work in  synergy. Electric buses and 56 hours load shedding - where else but Nepal!
