Maoists lawmakers disgrace themselves in the Nepali Parliament

Time and again Maoists have shown that they cannot be trusted. The most recent incident is that of the Finance Minister Surendra Pandey being attacked by Maoist lawmakers in the Parliament while getting ready to present the budget.

Such behaviour from the Maoist lawmakers is appalling, given that the three major parties had agreed to pass a full-fledged budget and the Maoists as the major opposition party were supposed to put up a "token protest" but the events that played out show that the Maoists can never be trusted.

After all, this is not the first time they have resorted to such dismal behaviour. Just last month, the Maoists threw shoes at the Indian Ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood on his visit to Solukhumbu.

The obvious question is can such a party be allowed to rule Nepal? Based on this incident alone, the answer is a Definite No!
