Protestors demonstrate outside Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal

Things aren't looking very good for the United Communist Party (Maoists) of Nepal. A few days ago, audio tapes were made public, which allegedly capture Krishna Bahadur Mahara negotiating with Chinese officials over the matter of money for buying Members of Parliament during voting. On the back of these allegations, Prachanda has today lost the election for the seventh straight time.

To make matters, about 200 protestors have been protesting 'against outside intervention in Nepali affairs' outside the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. While the Embassy has refuted the claims of the audio tapes, the Chinese media has remained relatively quite so far. Will it continue to do so?
